Weaver ("we", "our", or "us") provides a lightweight digital menu and WhatsApp ordering platform for food and service businesses. This Privacy Policy outlines our transparent approach to collecting, using, and safeguarding information when you use our website, services, and digital menu links.
2. Information We Collect
- Merchant Account Data: Name, business email, WhatsApp contact number, business address, and menu items/prices provided during onboarding or menu creation.
- Customer Menu Views: Anonymized usage statistics (e.g. menu visits, popular item clicks) used solely to provide analytics to the merchant.
- Order Data: Weaver does not process or store customer credit cards or banking details. When a customer orders, the cart contents are converted into a direct WhatsApp message sent directly from the customer’s WhatsApp to the merchant’s WhatsApp.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To host and serve your live digital menu with ultra-low latency.
- To format WhatsApp order links between customers and merchants.
- To provide essential merchant dashboard analytics and QR code generation.
- We do never sell your personal information or your customers' data to third-party ad networks.
4. South African POPIA & GDPR Compliance
In compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you retain the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we store on your account.
- Request the correction or complete deletion of your account and menus.
- Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.

Weaver uses strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to maintain your authentication state and ensure seamless offline editing. We do not use invasive tracking cookies.
